Bible Trek is our programming for children in grades K-4 here at Northgate.
We have a blast in Bible Trek learning about how we fit in to God's story. This program involves relevant worship for kids, engaging teaching including object lessons, drama, video, snacks, art, and more! We try our best to create an environment where kids will enjoy the program so much that they will beg their parents to bring them to church again. We also encourage kids to bring their friends who don't know Jesus. In turn, we hope that their parents will hear about and respond to the hope of Christ too.
The curriculum that we are using has been developed by a team at Northgate to show kids the chronology of the Bible in a fun and exciting way. As they learn the story of the Bible, they will begin to understand where they fit in to that story. Our goal is to show the children that God is at work in their lives today, just as He was in the times of the Bible.
As we strive to create a program that is relevant for the kids of Northgate, we realize that nothing at all can compare to the influence that a parent or guardian has on a child's life. That is why our program reaches beyond the children who enter through our doors on a Sunday morning. When the kids leave our doors, they are given a piece of their "Field Guide," which includes something for the family to talk about on the drive home and something that the family can do together to make our Bible story real for their children. Our hope is that this will encourage families to join us in this ministry and take part in what God is doing in their child's life!
